A New Year

Well, I have been giving some thought about the new year. I am usually not one to have new year's resolutions but there is something special about a new year, a new begining. A time to reflect on the past, rejoice in the present, and look forward to the future.

As I reflect on the past year, I am so thankful for where G-d has placed me. In one year I have gotten married, moved to another state, got an apartment and got a full time job. Some smaller goals accomplished this year; learning to enjoy reading, learning to knit, buying a bike, and most importantly, learning to make friends. Ha.

As I rejoice in the present, I give praise for John's job, for a supporting husband and for my family here in Memphis that support John and I. I give praise for a boss who is so supportive in my work changes, and for my church and friends I'm getting to know and grow with.

As I look forward to the future, I'm excited for where G-d is taking me in my relationships I am building here in Memphis, and for the relationship with my husband. I am excited to become part-time at my work so I can focus on starting my own Jewelry Design business. I am excited to learn to sew, and to learn spanish. I am excited for the new things that will be happening with this blog; recipes will be shared, special Memphis features will be had, personal art projects, and life lessons!

I am excited for this year's new projects, adventures and lessons!
So here's to a beautiful 2012, and for a wonderful 2013.

Cheers.
