Happy Thanks Giving people! I know loads of you in the States get this week off so happy days to you. So as you can see I have left the whole trilogy series to one week. So get ready for some Thanks Giving fun all week long! Today I thought I'd start off with sharing this simple Thankful Frame. All you need for this DIY is an old frame, some kind of string, cute clothes pins, paper, pen and of course a thankful heart.
Wrap the string around one side of the frame and tie a knot to secure. Then simply start wrapping. there are no rules here. As you can see I wrapped my twine heavily on one side and just once on the other side but you can do this any way you like. Let those creativity juices flow. Once you are done wrapping just tie it off.
Simply have the paper pen and clothes ready for action!
The great thing about this project is you can either use it at a Thanksgiving party, or just keep it at your home for the whole month/week for you and your family to periodically write Thank you's on. Because it is so simple you don't even need to use it just for Thanks Giving. This could be a place to hold Holiday cards, prayer requests, Family photos etc. I love how versatile this is.
5 things I'm grateful for this season:
I'm thankful for technology. Although living far away from my loved ones is tough, technology these days is so helpful in making it seem like we are not to far away from one another.
I'm thankful for my friend Lindsey. She has been so encouraging and challenging to me. Her weekly emails are one of the best parts of my week.
I'm thankful for living in a culture that loves staying up late.
I'm thankful for food.
I'm thankful for my team. We have been working so hard and it is just amazing working with them. Each one of them is so unique and precious. With out them I would have quickly ran back home.
What are you thankful for this Season? What are you most looking forward to this Thanks Giving season? I can't wait to eat American food and lots of it! Food..... Oh how I love. ;]
