I'm Sorry.

This past weekend. John and I participated in the I'm Sorry Campaign. The I'm Sorry Campaign was founded by the Marin Foundation. It is an apology from the Church to the LGBT Community. The Church has sadly done a very good job of ostracizing the Gay community. But didn't Jesus command us to Love one another? The I'm sorry campaign is not a religious stance on the opinion  of what sin is or isn't, it is an apology for not loving our LGBT neighbors.

The I'm sorry pledge states:
1. We commit to listening to the stories of others and seeking understanding.
2. We will strive to make things better for the LGBT community.
3. We are here to join in the celebration and affirm God's love for everyone.

This was our second year being apart of this beautiful campaign. It is so great to see so many different  people at the Memphis Pride Parade celebrating the LGBT community. I'm so honored to be God's hands and feet and to show a community of people who have been left abandoned the Love that Jesus has for all people.
